The Professional Enhancement Program (PEP) in Information Processing helps Ball State employees upgrade and master information processing skills, which enhance current job performance and additional employment opportunities.
PEP is an undergraduate certificate program requiring 12 credit hours of Ball State course work offered by the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management in the Miller College of Business.
Required Courses
- ISOM 125 Introduction to Business with Integrated Computer Applications (3 hours) (This course must be taken first)
- ISOM 210 Business Information Systems (3 hours)
- ISOM 250 Contemporary Design for Business Solutions (3 hours)
- ISOM 249 Foundations of Business Communication (3 hours)
Course Fees
You may use Ball State’s Fee Remission Program (free tuition) for these undergraduate classes.
Admissions
If you have a high school diploma or a GED and have not been enrolled in a secondary school for at least two years, complete an application online. (Non-Degree student admission is typically for students who have never been enrolled in college or a post-secondary institution.)
Employees currently enrolled who have been admitted as regular students are also eligible for this program.
Completing the Program
Participants have four years from enrollment into the first course to complete the program. Upon completion of the program, apply for your Certificate of Achievement by contacting the associate director of human resources, learning and development.
