Ro-Anne Royer Engle
Vice President of Student Affairs
Ro-Anne Royer Engle started serving as the interim Vice President for Student Affairs in January 2019. The Division of Student Affairs works closely with Academic Affairs and other administrative areas to provide a holistic student experience.
In her role, Ro-Anne provides leadership for Ball State University’s efforts to support student co-curricular engagement and success. Her areas of responsibility include the Career Center; Counseling and Health Services; Disability Services; Fraternity and Sorority Life; Health, Alcohol, and Drug Education; Housing and Residence Life; Multicultural Center; Public Safety; Student Center and Programs; Student Legal Services; Student Life; Student Conduct; and Title IX compliance. Having served as a member the Strategic Enrollment Planning Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee, Ro-Anne is committed to advancing the University’s priorities.
Ro-Anne arrived at Ball State in 2000 as a residence hall director. She has spent her professional career advocating for a meaningful student experience and supporting institutions in their efforts. Her career path includes roles as an assistant director of Housing and Residence Life, director of the Multicultural Center, and associate vice president for Student Affairs and Enrollment Services at Ball State. She also served as a residence life coordinator and assistant director of housing at Florida International University.
Ro-Anne earned a bachelor of arts in journalism and a master of arts in college student personnel from the University of Mississippi.
