Multicultural Center

The Multicultural Center promotes cultural diversity at Ball State University. A sampling of the center’s activities includes:

  • the Amazing Taste, which is cosponsored with the Rinker Center and Ball State Dining
  • Unity Week
  • a Kwanzaa celebration
  • a minority faculty/staff and student luncheon

Multicultural Student Organizations

Multicultural organizations develop and sponsor cultural, educational, and social programming for members and constituents of Ball State University.

American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU)

AASCU is a Washington, D.C.-based higher education association of nearly 420 public colleges, universities, and systems whose members share a learning- and teaching-centered culture, a historic commitment to underserved student populations, and a dedication to research and creativity that advances their regions’ economic progress and cultural development.

American International Recruitment Council (AIRC)

AIRC is a professional education membership association focused solely on issues relating to international student recruitment.

Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA)

A membership organization composed of institutional leaders engaged in advancing the international dimensions of higher education.

NAFSA: Association of International Educators

NAFSA is the world’s largest nonprofit association dedicated to international education and exchange.

EducationUSA

EducationUSA centers are the U.S. State Department’s network of more than 400 advising centers in over 170 countries. They are designed to assist local students with finding the appropriate college or university in the United States.

Forum on Education Abroad

Forum on Education Abroad is a membership association recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission as the standards development organization for the field of education abroad.

Rinker International Programs Consortium

The consortium comprises five universities: Ball State University, Furman University, Palm Beach Atlantic University, Roberts Wesleyan University, and Stetson University. Universities belonging to this consortium receive generous contributions from the Rinker family toward study abroad activity.
