Quick Facts

Our graduate degree develops a student’s capacity for creative, cumulative, and critical thinking; design literacy; and lifelong cultivation of design. Accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB), the program is for students who seek professional licensure. Apply through June 1st to begin the Fall program. Applications completed prior to the Priority Deadline date of January 31st will be eligible for priority consideration of financial assistance opportunities (i.e., graduate assistantships, scholarships, etc.). 

Two-Year Program

57 Credits

You have a pre-professional degree in architecture

This program is for those who seek licensure in the profession and who have a pre-professional degree in architecture from universities with an accredited architecture program. The first year of the two-year M.Arch program will be held at the Main Ball State Campus in Muncie, IN.  The final year of the program will be held at the Ball State CAP:Indy Center, in Indianapolis, IN.

Three-Year Program

99 Credits

You have a bachelor’s degree in a discipline other than architecture

This program is designed for students with undergraduate degrees in fields other than architecture or in related environmental design and planning disciplines. The first and second years will be held at the Main Ball State Campus in Muncie, IN.  The final year of the program will be held at the Ball State CAP:Indy Center, in Indianapolis, IN.
