Ball State's BA in Art with a concentration in art history provides a comprehensive overview of global art, from ancient times to the contemporary era. Art history has an interdisciplinary reach that encompasses literature, history, anthropology, sociology, philosophy, religion, politics, economics, and cultural studies. You will learn to look closely at visual and material culture, interpret the significance of the things humans have made, and speak and write about important issues in the history of human civilization.
