Classes will only be available online this semester.

Children working with art materials and creating art projects using their creativity and critical thinking skills, while developing cultural awareness—what could be better!

Art education classroom - teacher instructs the classroom of child paintersWe invite families with children in grades 1 - 6 to participate in the Saturday Children’s Art Classes, offered every Fall Semester.

For the safety of our students and teachers, our program will be offered online, through virtual meetings and pre-recorded videos through the School of Art webpage. Your child will need Internet access to participate.

Classes cost $35 per child, for the entire seven Saturdays. Discounts available for siblings.

Dates and Location

  • Dates: 10/3, (No class 10/10), 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/7, 11/14, with the Final Celebration Virtual Exhibit on 11/21.
  • Time: 9:30-11:30 a.m.
  • Location: Teachers will send the students the link to their websites or students can log onto this page. Clicking on their teacher’s picture will take them to their class website.


Fall 2020

Registration for our classes begins in late August. They are open to any community children, grades 1–6.

You may register one of three ways:

  • by mail until Sept. 18
  • In person in AJ 401, in Art and Journalism Building
  • Online by credit card via CASHNet
