Organizations are not buildings but are the people who come together to make something happen. Organizational and Professional Communication is how organizational members create the vision and actions necessary to achieve goals and objectives. 

Great businesses thrive on great communication, but it takes highly skilled professional communicators to get everyone on the same page. Professional wellbeing requires the ability to fulfill a shared mission, create a collective organizational culture, reinforce or challenge organizational structures, and share information with internal and external stakeholders. 

This concentration is for the emerging professional who values people first. They can take an idea from vision to action to successful conclusion, and they help their organizations become a model in any given industry.  

Students in this major might describe themselves as: Leaders, Planners, Innovators, Troubleshooters, and Recruiters. 

Possible job titles include: Communication Specialist, Trainer, Recruiter, Event Planner, Entrepreneur, Consultant
