Computer sciences students work together

Our computer science minor allows you to learn the foundations of traditional computer science while pursuing a major in another field. Regardless of your future academic or career plans, this minor will provide a strong grounding in computer science and transferrable skills useful for a range of occupations.

This minor is not open to computer science majors.

What You Will Learn

Depending on which courses you choose, you’ll learn:

  • how to apply information and computation in computer systems
  • the basics of software development
  • theories behind computer science

Programs Requirements

This flexible minor allows you to choose 17 credits from a wide variety of coursework in computer science, including:

  • Mobile Software Development
  • Database Design
  • Computer Game Design
  • Cybersecurity
  • Data Analytics

You may transfer up to eight credits into this minor.
