Katie’s academic background is in elementary and early childhood education. She spent 9 years teaching kindergarten, first, and second grades and has more than 10 years experience at Ball State working with both online and on-campus students serving as an advisor, instructor, recruiter, and director. Katie also serves as the dual-credit liaison for early childhood education. Her past research includes studying the vocabulary development of young children living in poverty.
