Director of Student Retention and Success
Ashley Calderon is the Director for Student Retention and Success for the Miller College of Business at Ball State University. She has a significant amount of experience in higher education with a focus on career development, student engagement, employer relations, and program management. Ashley’s prior experience includes serving as the Director of Career Services at Purdue University, Fort Wayne. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, and a master’s degree from Indiana University, Fort Wayne. Ashley was honored by Indiana University, Fort Wayne's Counselor Education Alumni Association with the Outstanding Alumni Award.
Ashley is qualified to administer and interpret the Strong Interest Inventory, Self-Directed Search, FOCUS, DISCOVER, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. She is also a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW).
She has served on the board of the Career Development Professionals of Indiana (CDPI) and has been a member of the following associations: American College Personnel Association (ACPA), National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers (Midwest ACE), and the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA).
In addition, her community involvement includes volunteering for Blue Jacket, Inc., Boys and Girls Club, Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana, and the Community Food Harvest.
