Dr. Richard Petts promoted to Professor
Petts's promotion went into effect Fall 2019. Dr. Petts's career at Ball State began in 2008 when he was hired as an Assistant Professor after completing his PhD at The Ohio State University. Read more.

Dr. Richard Petts 2023 Co-organized a symposium titled “The Future of Gender Equality Three Years into the Global Pandemic” in Washington DC that featured new findings from our NSF-funded project. The symposium was hosted by New America (link for additional details + full video recording is here), and key findings presented have been featured in The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and CBS News

Dr. Melinda Messineo promoted to Professor
Messineo's promotion went into effect Fall 2018. She arrived at Ball State in 1999, and since then has been active in initiatives across the campus, region, and nation, while amassing several awards. Read more.
