Tracena Marie is a Registered Drama Therapist with the North American Drama Therapy Association. She teaches Introduction to Drama Therapy and is a Theatre Mentor for the Prism Project.  She earned a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Directing and Performance from Northwestern State University of Louisiana and a master’s degree in Drama Therapy from Kansas State University.  Tracena is the Therapeutic Arts Director for Muncie Civic's Barrier-Free Theatre program (a drama therapy model to empower adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities). She facilitates individual and group therapy in her practice, Creative HeARTS Services, LLC. She is honored to be a part of Ball State's Theatre and Dance community. The students remind her that there is beauty to be found in a collaborative, learning environment.
