Learn how to find reliable and authoritative information on any theatre or dance topic. This session explores six major resources essential to theatre and dance research at the University Libraries. These include International Bibliography of Theatre and Dance, Play Index, Project MUSE, Oxford Reference Online, OneSearch, and librarian-created research guides.

Text analysis, also known as "distant reading," is the process of sorting and analyzing a body of documents to derive new insights and understandings. It is text as data. This workshop provides an overview of the fundamental elements of text analysis, including techniques, applications, and common misconceptions. The workshop will showcase several scholarly projects and introduce participants to the free Voyant text-mining platform.
