Douglas ShadleDouglas W. Shadle is associate professor of musicology at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music. His award-winning scholarship interrogates the roles played by symphony orchestras and orchestral music in American culture, past and present. Lecture is titled “Florence Beatrice Price: The Untold Story of Civil Rights Law in the Career of a Distinguished Black Composer.” Event is free and open to the public.

pianist Daniel LinTaiwanese-Canadian pianist Daniel Lin currently serves as associate professor of music at Indiana Wesleyan University. His performances have been featured in a variety of venues in Canada, the United States, Holland, Italy, Spain, and Germany. Program to include music by J.S. Bach, Joseph Haydn, Maurice Ravel, Felix Mendelssohn, and Franz Liszt. Event is free and open to the public.
