Huseyin Ergin is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at Ball State University. His research interests include computer science education, software engineering, and model-driven engineering. He earned his Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees from the University of Alabama, and an additional M.Sc. from Sabanci University in Turkey, and a B.Sc. from Yeditepe University in Turkey all in computer science or engineering. With extensive industry experience, Dr. Ergin has worked as a software developer in R&D departments, information technology departments, startups, and manufacturing companies, giving him a comprehensive understanding of software development practices in various settings. He has also participated in programming, science, robotics, idea, startup, and entrepreneurship competitions/events.

Lyndie Metz is a lifelong educator that got her start right here at Ball State University. After graduating, she spent the first ten years of her career in the classroom, teaching various grade levels. After, she spent the last ten years as an Educational Consultant, assisting schools through cognitive coaching and a turn-around school model. Lately, she has been busy establishing Acton Academies around Central Indiana. What started as a dream for her own children’s educational experience has intrigued parents and entrepreneurs alike. Now operating two campuses and advising two others, Lyndie does not have a dull day!

The Ball State Symphony Orchestra is a flagship ensemble of the School of Music that performs orchestral music from a wide variety of backgrounds and time periods. Program to include music by Galina Ustvolskaya and Sergei Prokofiev.
