      <title>University Libraries’ Third Annual History Walking Tour: Presidents, Pacifists, and Popsicles</title>
      <description>Join us for another stroll around campus and learn some of the hidden history of Ball State. This year we’ll be walking a different route from the previous years with new people and places to commemorate. You’ll learn about past presidents, performers, protests, pageants, and more. We’ll be serving up storytelling, some door prizes, and popsicles to keep cool. (The tour lasts about 45 minutes, weather permitting).</description>

      <description>On September 14, the Estopinal College of Architecture and Planning will welcome designer and scholar Bryan Cantley for a his lecture entitled &amp;quot;Exhausting Drawings&amp;quot; at 4:00 p.m. in the Architecture Building, Lecture Hall 100. This lecture is free and open to the public. His work will also be exhibited in  ECAP&amp;#39;s Gallery from Sept. 1 to Oct. 16, 2026 on the first floor.</description>

      <title>Conversations in Entrepreneurship and Leadership Series with Lathay Pegues</title>
      <description>Lathay Pegues is an Indiana University graduate, Regional Emmy Award-winning journalist, and entrepreneur from Muncie, Indiana. After working as a reporter and anchor at television stations across the Midwest, he co-founded JohnTom’s Barbecue Sauce, inspired by his grandfather’s secret family recipe. Since taking the company full-time in 2014, Pegues has expanded the brand into numerous retail stores, and JohnTom’s was named “Best Sauce in Indiana” by Indianapolis Monthly.

      <title> Read All About It: The Muncie Star Press Newspaper Reference Collection</title>
      <description>In July of 2016, the Archives and Special Collections received a donation of The Star Press&amp;#39;s archives. Consisting of 273 boxes and 95 file cabinet drawers, the collection is an expansive testament to the Star Press&amp;#39;s history of local, national, and international news coverage. The collection has been a large factor in numerous research projects focusing on Muncie history, proving to be an integral piece of the Archives and Special Collections holdings. In this Lunch and Learn, we will discuss the history of the Star Press, the donation and processing of the collection, and unique uses of the collection in local history research.

This event is a part of University Libraries&amp;#39; Virtual Lunch and Learn Series.</description>
