Join us for the Menard Speaker Series "Economic Freedom for Women, Benefits for All." It is well-documented that economic freedom improves well-being in various ways. However, there are gender disparities in economic freedom. In many countries around the world, women are prevented from having the same economic freedoms as men. When women are granted the same economic opportunities and freedoms as men, it unlocks many benefits for all.
Dr. Kerianne Lawson is an Assistant Professor in Agribusiness and Applied Economics at North Dakota State University. Dr. Lawson’s research interests include economic freedom at the local, state, and national levels, crime and civil unrest, and electricity reliability.
Hosted by the Institute for the Study of Political Economy (ISPE) which seeks to further our understanding of market, political and social processes and institutions.
