The inaugural Sharon Seager Memorial Lecture in Women's and Gender History is on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 3:30 pm in the Student Center Forum Room.

Dr. SaraEllen Strongman of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor will present her lecture: "Movement in Black: Pat Parker and Black Feminist Literary Culture in the 1970s." This talk will examine Parker's poems and personal journals to explore the history of conflicts over space, race, and genre in lesbian feminist literary spaces and in the broader women's liberation movement.
