David Cuatlacuatl: Nothing Ever Translates Well

This lecture is in conjunction with the “Pata Rajada” exhibition at The Ned and Gloria Griner Art Gallery. Professor Cuatlacualtl will discuss the work of his brother, artist David Cuatlacuatl, a Ball State alumnus of the School of Art, and graduate of the MFA program at Pennsylvania State University. Through the works of David Cuatlacuatl, “Pata Rajada” seeks to amplify contemporary urgencies within our latinx migrant communities, for students and the larger community of BSU. This exhibition addresses transborder indigineity, real lived migrant experiences, and the complexities of navigating migrant identities.
