Mark Thomas Gibson
Spanning drawing, painting, printmaking, artist books, and curatorial work, Mark Gibson’s studio practice involves modes of caricature, pop, fantasy, and narrative to reflect on current American history. Gibson earned an MFA from the Yale School of Art in 2013 and a BFA from Cooper Union in 2002. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Art at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University, and a recipient of a 2022 Guggenheim Fellowship. Other recent career highlights include a Yaddo residency, a Pew Fellowship (Pew Center for the Arts & Heritage) and a Hodder Fellowship (Princeton University).
