The final event in the 2020-2021 Teachers College Dean's Lecture Series takes place on Thursday, April 29, from 4-5 p.m. with Dr. Eric Pierson’s presentation: "Understanding the Influences of Personality and Media Use in Adolescents View of Black Lives Matter.”
Dr. Eric Pierson will be presenting data collected while on special assigned leave related to the participation of high school students in social media, as well as personality as measured by the PAI-A. The presentation will include a discussion of challenges related to data collection, missing data analysis in small samples, and future directions for proposed research related to personality influences and Black Lives Matter activism.

Eric Pierson is an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology. He is a licensed Health Service Provider of Psychology and a licensed School Psychologist. His areas of research include assessment, intervention, and the practice of school psychology. His work has been published in leading school psychology journals such as Psychology in the Schools and the Journal of Contemporary School Psychology.
