What are your current responsibilities?
“I am currently a consultant for a couple healthcare clients in the Indianapolis areas. For these clients I work on different aspects of the patient experience. I coordinate Patient & Family Advisory Councils, identify training needs and develop training, implement different committees and councils to address the patient experience at each of my client locations.”
How did Ball State prepare you for your current role?
“First, the practicality of the classes and discussions we had helped me better understand how
theory was applied and lived out in a workplace. These skills proved useful as I built my career through time in Human Resources and Service Excellence within Indiana University Health.
“Second, the consulting portion of my program has helped me in recent months as I have begun to build my consulting business. From learning to write proposals, to understanding what needs to be included in a contract and how to work with multiple organizations at one time. These skills are essential in how I am building this business.
“Lastly, the skills that we learned about adult learning and developing customized training for the specific needs of the group and the situation have been essential throughout my career and now as I build my consulting business.”
