Kate Doerksen
Kate (Endress) Doerksen is an athlete turned investor turned entrepreneur. She cofounded Ditto, the leading augmented reality virtual try-on and frame recommendation software for the vision industry, while getting her MBA at Stanford (2011). She sold Ditto to 1-800-Contacts in 2021 and helped combine Ditto with three other technology startups to create Luna, a SaaS business making eyewear affordable and accessible through technology. Kate is currently the Chief Revenue Officer at Luna.
Prior to school, Kate worked in private equity for Wind Point Partners, where she focused on the operations of three retail portfolio companies. She is also the survivor of a two-year stint on Wall Street working for Citi’s M&A team. Kate holds a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship from Ball State University, where she graduated summa cum laude and played basketball for four years. She received the Mid-American Conference Women’s Player of the Year, Indiana’s NCAA Woman of the Year Award and All-American status before an embarrassingly short-lived professional career in the WNBA.
