Plan Your Visit

Due to artist contractual agreements, on occasion patrons who arrive late will be asked to wait in the lobby and will be seated at the first appropriate break in the program. We make every attempt to begin each performance on time.

Facilities are located on each level of Emens Auditorium. For reduced wait time when lines are long, we recommend visiting the lower-level restrooms. There are two single-use restrooms on the main floor. Restrooms are also located in the adjacent buildings and are accessible at intermission only.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in Emens Auditorium or the adjacent buildings. Ball State University is a smoke-free campus.

During the Show

Due to artist contractual agreements and as a courtesy to those around you, the use of electronic equipment is discouraged during a performance. No professional-grade cameras are allowed unless prior approval has been granted by the venue in advance. 

Cell Phones

Cell phone photography is acceptable and often encouraged for many performances. If an artist's contract states otherwise, signs will be posted and an announcement will be made. Photo opportunities will likely be created before and after many performances. Please do not use flash at any time.

To request an interview with our staff or artist and to review or photograph an event, please contact our marketing department at 765-285-1544 at least a week in advance of the event date. Due to artist contractual agreements, interviews and photography must be approved in advance of the event. Tickets or media passes will be provided and are required.
