Christopher Munchel
Associate Vice President for Enrollment Planning and Management and Chief Admissions Officer
Chris Munchel has worked in admissions at Ball State University since June 2000. He began working at Ball State as an assistant director of admissions, thinking it was just a job, but quickly realized higher education would be his career path. In January 2019, he became associate vice president for enrollment planning and management, responsible for leading undergraduate, international, and graduate admissions. Chris and his team have seen significant successes: increasing freshman applications by 150% in a decade, enrolling the largest freshman class in Ball State history in Fall 2019, enrolling the highest percentage of racially diverse students, increasing academic qualified students, and increasing overall enrollment.
