Strategies to Promote and Sustain Physical Activity in Individuals with Disabilities
Individuals with disabilities are less likely to meet daily recommended physical activity guidelines and face higher rates of sedentary behavior and obesity compared to their peers without disabilities. Developing effective strategies to encourage physical activity is essential for improving health, self-determination, and overall quality of life across the lifespan.
Join us for a presentation on community-engaged physical activity research, featuring:
- Behavioral-based interventions designed to increase physical activity among individuals with disabilities.
- The Autism Exercise Specialist Certificate program and its impact on practitioners' confidence in delivering effective exercise programs.
Discover how research-driven approaches can create more inclusive and accessible opportunities for physical activity!
