Ghosts have haunted Muncie and Delaware County for almost two centuries. Strange tales of eerie houses, atmospheric ghost lights, and bizarre apparitions appear frequently in Muncie’s local newspapers. Join us for a presentation by local historian Chris Flook as he explores the topic of ‘ghosts’ in his upcoming new book, Haunted Muncie: Uncanny Tales of the Magic City.

Chris Flook is a public historian from Muncie, Indiana and has authored three books about local history: Indianapolis Graverobbing, Native Americans of East Central Indiana, and Lost Towns of Delaware County. In 2016 he co-authored and edited Beech Grove Cemetery Comes to Life. Flook also writes the bi-monthly By Gone Muncie column in the Star Press. In addition to serving on the board of directors at the Delaware County Historical Society, Flook works professionally as a motiongraphics designer, photographer and documentary filmmaker. He teaches in the Department of Media at Ball State University as a senior lecturer.
