Since 1911, Indianapolis has hosted the world’s largest single-day sporting event, the Indianapolis 500. Over a quarter of a million people from around the world come to Indianapolis over Memorial Day weekend, some for the racing, some for traditions, and some for debauchery.

Jackie Buckrop and Larry Markle, two serious fans who have been to eighty 500’s between them, will discuss why the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been such a big part of their lives and thousands of others. Learn about the history of the great racers, the innovations, and cultural phenomenon that makes the Indy 500 the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.
