The Ball State University Black Alumni Council (BAC) aims to support the educational, professional, and social interests of both students and alumni. The council focuses on fostering engagement and networking among its members, creating social and professional opportunities, and providing a platform for sharing information about campus programs. Additionally, it promotes a unified appreciation for the opportunities available at the university, encourages alumni to support current and prospective students, and fosters an environment that reflects multicultural and multiethnic values.

Empower Cardinals for Generations
Through three dedicated funds, the Black Alumni Council champions scholarships and programs that help students excel and find purpose — creating opportunities, building connections, and fueling the Ball State spirit.
Fund #408 Black Alumni Council
The purpose of this fund is to support Black Alumni Council programs and activities. BAC’s mission includes engaging alumni by providing social and informative events, facilitating student mentoring programs, and encouraging gifts to support scholarships for students.
Fund #461 Black Alumni Council Scholarship
The Black Alumni Council created this fund to provide scholarships to students currently enrolled who are sophomores, juniors, or seniors with a GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale. Award recipients can receive the award for more than one year, but may reapply annually.
