Students and faculty work in the Athletic Training Treatment and Rehabilitation Laboratory

The Athletic Training Treatment and Rehabilitation Laboratory contains state-of-the-art equipment for the comprehensive assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of systemic illnesses and musculoskeletal injuries of the human body. Athletic Training graduate students use the equipment to better understand the impact of various medical conditions and physical activities.

This lab contains a variety of therapeutic intervention and primary care equipment including:

  • Electric stimulation
  • Hi-lo therapy treatment tables
  • Rectal thermometry simulation
  • Hot/cold whirlpools
  • Intermittent cold compression
  • Stethoscopes
  • Glucometers
  • Manual therapy tools
  • Therapeutic ultrasound
  • Ophthalmoscopes and otoscopes
  • Nebulizers and peak flow meters

The lab also features audio and video recording technology that can be used to facilitate athletic training simulations and standardized patient encounters.
