Dr. Kaminsky is leading a community-based effort to improve the health and well-being of the residents of Delaware County.  This project which has received funding from the Ball Brothers Foundation and other agencies began in 2018 and has continued to develop and evolve.  More information about the project can be found at the project web site:

 

Dr. Kaminsky and the Fisher Institute is collaborating with College of Health faculty, Dr. Tony Mahon and Dr. Jay Kandiah, on a project with the Muncie Community Schools.  This project, funded by the Ball Memorial Health Foundation is an initiative to provided health-related information, specifically Physical Activity and Nutrition education, into the school curriculum.  The project launched in the fall of 2020 at the first school – Southview Elementary.  In the spring of 2021, work continued at Southview and expanded to Grissom Elementary.  Further work and expanding to more schools is slated to happen in the second year of this three year project.
