Explore the theoretical foundations of effective communication and empower yourself to become a skillful communicator with our bachelor’s degree in communication studies. Your course of study will be hands-on, filled with practical assignments and internships, and taught by outstanding faculty in small class sizes.

As a communication studies major you will take 21 credits of departmental core courses, including argumentation and debate, introduction to interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, persuasion, communication theory, and advanced presentation design and delivery. From there, you will select one of four concentrations: organizational and professional, advocacy and public, entertainment and sport, or relational and interpersonal communication.

The opportunity to speak larger platforms as part of the Speech Team will help me become more comfortable sharing important messages with others.
