At Ball State, 80 percent of our students are eligible for financial aid. The Department of Computer Science offers two scholarship opportunities to our students.

This scholarship was established by Catherine Hepler in memory of her son, a 1965 alumnus. It is targeted to incoming freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or graduate students who intend to major in computer science.

Award Amount

$500 to $1,000 per year

Criteria

Selection is based on prior academic accomplishments.

Recipients must also:

  • have class standing as an incoming freshman, sophomore, junior, or graduate student
  • intend to major in computer science at Ball State
  • live in Indiana

How to Apply

No application is required. Selection is based on information provided by each student when applying to the university.

This scholarship is meant to recruit or retain high-ability students in the computer science program.

This scholarship may be renewed at the discretion of the selection committee.

Criteria

Recipients must:

  • have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • major in computer science
  • be an undergraduate student preferably a junior or senior
