
Get a head start on the preparation and training needed for a Master’s in Educational Administration and Supervision and initial license as a principal. Offered entirely online, our AMP program focuses primarily on P-12 building-level leadership. The Accelerated Master's Program (AMP) in Education Leadership offers talented teacher education students the opportunity to start work on their master's degree while they complete their bachelor's degree.
Program Eligibility
To qualify for the Accelerated Master's Program in Educational Leadership you must:
- Be a current undergraduate student majoring in a teacher education program at Ball State University
- Complete at least 75 college credit hours (30 must be from Ball State)
- Have a minimum of 3.25 cumulative GPA
What courses will I take?
We recommend beginning your program by taking the following courses:
- EDAD 600: Introduction to Educational Leadership (3 credits, online, asynchronous)
- EDAD 630: Human Resource Development (3 credits, online, asynchronous)
- EDAD 635: Educational Decision Making (3 credits, online, asynchronous).
How long does it take to earn the MAE?
36 credit hours are required to earn the MAE degree. Indiana building-level administration licensure requires applicants to complete at least two years of experience as a teacher or school counselor. There is also a licensure exam requirement. Most students will complete BOTH the undergraduate and graduate requirements in 5 years due to the MAE internship requirements.
