Abs Srivastava joined Ball State University in July 2025. Earlier, he worked at West Virginia University for 24 years where he served as the Management Department Chair for 9 years. Over the years, he has taught courses in organizational behavior, leadership, strategy, human resource management, international business, decision analysis, and research methods across undergraduate, MBA, and PhD programs. His research has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Business Venturing, and Journal of Vocational Behavior. His research has received more than 7,000 citations on Google Scholar. Earlier, he served as Associate Editor of European Management Journal. His expertise is on the topics of leadership, team effectiveness, motivation, and the factors that promote knowledge sharing and creativity. His current research interest is in the mathematical modeling of organizational phenomena. He received his PhD from the University of Maryland, PGDM (MBA) from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) from Roorkee (India).
