The Ball State Campus Band is a traditional concert band that provides an opportunity for music and non-music majors to participate on a limited rehearsal and performance schedule.
The ensembles’ goals are to provide an opportunity for students to continue performing wind band music at the collegiate level. Music education majors are encouraged to perform with the Campus Band on secondary instruments.

Auditions
There is no audition requirement for membership, but they are held for chair placement and part assignments. Simply enroll in the class and join us for the first rehearsal! Chair placement and part assignment auditions generally take place at the second or third rehearsal.

Graduate Program in Wind Conducting
The graduate program in wind band conducting is a small and selective program that prepares students to effectively function in academic and professional settings. Ball State offers a master of music with a major in conducting and the doctor of arts in music with a primary emphasis in conducting. Graduate assistantships and yearly stipends are available for students in these programs.
