Do you need help paying for your graduate work in special education? Are you interested in working closely with faculty while gaining hands-on experience in your field? Our department is committed to providing practical opportunities for both professional and personal growth through our graduate assistantships.

Along with giving you professional experience working alongside our practitioner faculty, graduate assistants in our department receive tuition waivers and stipends.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Work 20 hours per week.
  • May assist with teaching in the classroom.
  • Help conduct research.

How to Apply

You must be officially admitted to a graduate degree program in the university to be eligible for an assistantship. To apply, please complete the application and email it to SPCE@BSU.EDU, along with your resume. For questions, contact the Department of Special Education
