Rebecca Taylor (she/her) is an avid hodophile, and her love for adventure has carried her across the country and into the far north. She is back in the Lower 48 celebrating her new experiences in the Department of Theatre & Dance at Ball State University as Recruitment Coordinator and Special Projects Administrator. In addition to her recruitment and event work, she co-teaches the Theatre & Dance Practicum course for first-year students. Several current areas of interest are pedagogical empathy, the practice of mindful questioning and listening techniques, and the intersection of theatre and tourism.

Rebecca holds an MFA in Theatre Performance & Pedagogy from Texas Tech University, and a BFA in Musical Theatre from Southeast Missouri State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and as an Honors Scholar. She played an active part in organizing Texas Tech’s School of Theatre & Dance’s BFA auditions for two years. Rebecca spent three summers working in the cruise ship port of Skagway, Alaska, giving gold rush tours in 1898 period costume to thousands of cruise ship guests. Outside of Alaska, she has worked professionally in regional theatres and companies around the country. Select credits: Desirée Armfeldt in A Little Night Music (Texas Tech University), Frau Gabor/Bessell in Spring Awakening (Texas Tech University), Harmonica Mars in Space Station Safety (The National Theatre for Children, K-6 tour), and Cecily Pigeon in The Odd Couple (Thunder Bay Theatre).
