Mandy Johnson
Academic Coordinator of Student Athlete Support Services
Mandy Johnson is an Athletic Academic Coordinator at Ball State University, where she works with the football and baseball programs to support student-athletes throughout their academic journey. Her career in student-athlete academic support began at the University of Louisville, where she served as an Assistant Academic Counselor working with the football program.
Mandy earned her bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Western Kentucky University and her master's degree in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville. She is a proud member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) and has participated in the N4A Steve McDonnell Professional Development Institute. She values opportunities to continue learning, growing as a professional, and connecting with others who share her passion for supporting student-athletes.
At the heart of Mandy's work is building genuine relationships with student-athletes and being someone they know they can count on. She enjoys helping students navigate the challenges of college, celebrating their successes, and creating programs and resources that help them grow both academically and personally.
Outside of work, Mandy is rarely far from sports. She is a die-hard Louisville Cardinals and Buffalo Bills fan, so she always has a team to cheer for and, more than likely, an opinion about the game. A Kentucky native, she enjoys playing slow pitch softball, spending time at the gym, going to concerts, and spending time with her cat. She brings a competitive spirit, a sense of humor, and a genuine love for people to both her work and the things she enjoys outside of it.
