trombonist Wycliffe GordonThe Wycliffe Gordon Quintet will perform in Sursa Hall as part of the Arts Alive series, presented by the College of Fine Arts. Wycliffe Gordon was recently named by the Jazz Journalists Association as "Trombonist of the Year" for a record-breaking 13th time. He is a veteran member of the Wynton Marsalis Septet, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, and has been a featured guest artist on Billy Taylor's "Jazz at the Kennedy Center" series. "Morgy" Craig, an outstanding solo saxophonist who worked on a variety of projects with the Ball State band program in the 1950s and 1960s.
