Dr. Rutherford is Professor, Johnny Pope Chair, and Doctoral Program Chair in the School of Entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University. Previously, he has served as a professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and a faculty member at Gonzaga University. He received his Ph.D. from Auburn University, MBA from the University of Southern Indiana, and bachelor’s degree from Ball State. His experience is in new and small firm consulting. He has provided consulting services to hundreds of organizations of all sizes. His research foci are new venture strategy, family business, and new venture finance.
