Study Abroad Fair — November 18, 4-6 PM, Yuhas Room (SC 102)

Join us for our upcoming Study Abroad Fair! Discover exciting opportunities to study internationally with representatives from all our programs available to answer your questions. Explore campus resource tables to learn about support services and get tips for your adventure abroad. Plus, don't miss the chance to get your free passport photo taken! From Abroad to Employed: Showcasing Your International Experience — November 19, 1:30-2:30 PM, Yuhas Room (SC 102)

In partnership with the Career Center, this informative workshop will focus on how to effectively showcase your study abroad experience! This event will guide you on how to highlight your international education on your resume, in cover letters, and during job interviews. Learn how to articulate the skills and perspectives you've gained abroad to make a strong impression on potential employers. Whether you’ve just returned or are preparing to go, this session will equip you with the tools to stand out in today’s competitive job market. Don’t miss out on this valuable opportunity to elevate your career prospects!

 

Faculty-Led Showcase — November 19, 3-4:15 PM, Yuhas Room (SC 102)

Faculty leaders will share about their recent study abroad program—where they went, what they did, what everyone learned, and why it all matters!

 

Culture Exchange Pakistan — November 20, 12-1 PM, Yuhas Room (SC 102)

Come learn more about Pakistan!  During our Culture Exchange events, the Rinker Center for Global Affairs invites guest speakers from all over the world to share an inside look into their country!

 

iFest November 20, 5-7 PM, Student Center 2nd floor

iFest is a celebration of our international students’ cultures. On the second floor of the student center, participants will  be able to sample snacks from around the globe, including a variety of insects, and they’ll learn from our international students and our students who have studied abroad about various cultures and countries. Additionally, we will have two separate rounds of international trivia. The first round will begin at 5:15 pm, and the second round will begin at 6:10 pm. Trivia will take place in the Student Center Ballroom. There will be one winning team for each round, and they will receive a prize!

 

Global Symposium — November 21, 8am-5pm, Yuhas Room (SC 102)

The Rinker Center for Global Affairs will showcase faculty, staff, and students' globally focused research, teaching, service, or personal experiences at our inaugural Global Symposium during International Education Week 2024.  Let’s celebrate the global impact of our diverse academic and personal journeys!

 

Final Celebration — November 22, 4:30-6 PM, Student Center Ballroom

Join the Office of the President and the Rinker Center for Global Affairs as we celebrate the end of International Education Week. We’ll have remarks from President Mearns, reflections from a couple of international alumni, and performances by a couple of students. We’ll also celebrate the achievements of our Intensive English Institute Students. We’ll end with a moment to reflect on what it means to be a Global Cardinal. There will be light refreshments!
