The Teachers College 2023 Emens Distinguished Professorship Lecture featuring Dr. Kofi Lomotey will take place on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 1-2:30 p.m. EST via Zoom. Dr. Lomotey will present: “The Education of African Americans: What’s Juneteenth Got To Do With It?”
Dr. Kofi Lomotey is the Chancellor John Bardo & Deborah Bardo Distinguished Professor of Educational Leadership at Western Carolina University in Cullowee, North Carolina. He is an American Educational Research Association (AERA) Fellow (inducted 2021).
Dr. Lomotey has taught and been an administrator on every level from pre-school to university. He has written more than 50 books, articles, and book chapters on urban education, Black principals, and schooling for Black children.
