Presenter: Thomas Schwartz

Duer was instrumental in bringing the artistic concept of perspective to the northern Renaissance. He was a master of watercolor, oil, woodcuts, copper engraving, and wrote extensively about science and religion.

Tom Schwartz first went to Germany in 1961 as an exchange student. He was in Germany when the Berlin wall went up. He received a BA in German from Indiana University and a MA in German language and literature from University of Pittsburgh. He taught for 9 summers on the Indiana University Honors Program for Foreign Languages and 40 years of teaching in high schools. Tom loves music, art, and photography.
