This course is an introduction to the concept of disability justice. Participants will gain an understanding of the challenges toward success for people with disabilities.Participants will learn terminology, including affirming and non-affirming language, and develop strategies to create an inclusive educational environment. The Americans with Disabilities Act will be reviewed, and tools will be shared to improve access, inclusion, and belonging for persons with disabilities.
