The home for the Cardinal football team, Scheumann Stadium seats 22,500 fans. The stadium underwent a major renovation in 2007 that transformed it into one of the top football facilities in the Mid-American Conference.
Updates included new lighting for night games, additional seating, new concession stands, a larger press box, an update to the stadium's façade, and private luxury suites. The press box and entertainment suites are named the Paul L. and Patricia L. Kozel Communications Center in recognition of their 1.25 million gift.
New turf and updated graphics were added in 2015.
Namesake:
John B. and June M. Scheumann, a former Ball State football player and his wife, who provided the lead gift for the 2007 renovations to the stadium.
