If you like to look at the stars, but don't know much about what you're seeing, Ball State's
Planetarium and the Muncie Astronomy Club have teamed up to present "How not to get lost - the night sky for beginners."
Ron Kaitchuck, planetarium director, will lead the program, which will be offered at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and 24.
Planetarium shows are free and open to the public. No tickets are required, but seating is limited. Doors will open 20 minutes before show time, and no one will be admitted after the program begins.
Children who are 12 or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Weather permitting, the observatory will be open after the presentations. The observatory is not heated so patrons should dress accordingly.
The planetarium is off Riverside Avenue in the southeast corner of Cooper Science Complex. Parking is available on the west end of the building and along Riverside Avenue.
