Ball State will offer a variety of lectures, discussions, music and art celebrating the achievements and experiences of women during Women's Week March 26-30.
The week's activities are free and open to the public and have been organized by the Women's Studies Program in connection with National Women's History Month.
Events and presenters include:
March 20 - Art High at Noon: Artistic Women, noon, Museum of Art
March 26 through April 7 - Nina B. Marshall Memorial Women Faculty and Student Art Exhibit, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Art and Journalism Building, first floor gallery
March 26 through April 13 - College of Architecture and Planning Exhibit: Gender, Design and the Professions, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, Architecture Building, first floor exhibit space

- "Women's Liberation: A Man in the Middle of it All," John Peterson, activist for women's reproductive rights, medical director for Expectations Birthing Center in Muncie and lecturer for Indiana University Medical School, 10 a.m., Student Center, rooms 301 and 302
- "Women with Disabilities: Being Invited to the Table," Juli Paini, coordinator of the Indianapolis Mayor's Office of Disability, 7 p.m., Student Center, rooms 301 and 302

- "Grandmothers for Peace: Still Activists After All These Years," Grandmothers for Peace International, volunteer nonprofit organization, 11 a.m., Student Center, rooms 301 and 302
- "Yoga, Menstruation and Menopause: Moving Through Changes," Sarah Lyttle, Ayur-Veda health educator and yoga instructor at Ball State, 2 p.m., Student Center, rooms 301 and 302

- "The Makeup of a Successful Leader - Six Leadership Essentials," Stephanie Oden, president and founder of LiveWire Consulting Group, 10 a.m., Student Center, Cardinal Hall
- "Empowering Women: A Conversation with the Indiana Women of Achievement," 1 p.m., Student Center, Forum room. The program will feature: Mary Dollison, former board member of various Muncie civic organizations; Anne Eliades, clinical assistant professor of pediatrics education at Ball Memorial Hospital; Edna May, former educator in the Indianapolis Public Schools; and Connie Weaver, professor and head of the department of foods and nutrition at Purdue University
March 29
- "African Women and Leadership," Nolutho Diko, assistant professor of secondary education at Ball State, 9:30 a.m., Student Center, Pine Shelf room
- "My Life After Prison and Drugs and How I Made It," Beth Leavell-Davis, Ball State graduate and current MBA student, 2 p.m., Student Center, Pine Shelf room
