Award-winning director, writer and producer Roger Young will speak at 4 p.m. March 27 in the Art and Journalism Building, room 175, at Ball State.

Young has directed numerous film and television projects, including most recently an episode of the HBO series "Rome." In addition, his other recent films include "Hercules," "The Perfect Husband," "Dracula" and "A Knight in Camelot."

During his career, Young's work has received critical acclaim and earned awards from the Directors Guild of America, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the American Cinema Editors.

He earned an Emmy for directorial achievement for the television series "Lou Grant" in 1980 and another for "Joseph," which was named best mini-series in 1995.

The presentation is free and open to the public.
