Registration has begun for the 2007 Cardinal Kids Camp, a summer program offered by Ball State.

Children ages 5 through 13 can participate in full-day, half-day or extended-day sessions beginning June 4.

Managed by the Office of Recreation Services, the summer camp provides youngsters with weeks of fun, including games, arts and crafts, swimming and other activities. Traditionally, the Cardinal Kids Camps have offered noncompetitive recreation in a safe environment.

Staff counselors are Ball State students — many of whom are education majors using these experiences to prepare for future teaching.

Registration is ongoing for Ball State-affiliated families. Registration begins April 3 for families not affiliated with Ball State.

Prices range from $65 for the half-day sessions to $110 for the full-day sessions. Options for extended hours as well as discounts for siblings and Ball State-affiliated families are available.

Nine sessions are offered from June through August. Themes range from sports mania to pirates of the Caribbean. To see the full camp schedule, visit http://recreation.iweb.bsu.edu/BSUrec/YouthFamily/CKCschedule.htm.
